This one was so obvious I can’t fathom no one actually thought of it before: make the synthetic blood from HBO’s hit show into a real product we can waste spend our money on! Yes, boys and girls of Bon Temps and beyond, it’s TRU BLOOD: THE THIRST QUENCHER!

The people of Omni Consumer Products were the ones with a stroke of genius to deal with HBO and commercialize a beverage based on the vampire series’ iconic bottles of fake blood, although their version is slightly more suitable for human tastings. And apparently quite the cocktail when mixed with Vodka…

The drink’s official site says that:

This blood orange flavored soda is slightly tart, lightly sweet and subtly carbonated. Designed to taste great while matching the appearance of Bill’s favorite drink, the drink pours like a regular soda, but with the standing appearance in a glass is stormy and mysterious.

And guess what? They even have a Bud Light-inspired TV commercial…

Quite a good idea!

I’ll have Type O, thanks. So funny that they’re knockin’ on beer commercials, haha.

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
