The Twilight Saga might have had as many fans as detractors, whether it be the novels or the (as of yet) two films, there still seems to be an emerging consensus between the two factions that the fourth entry of the book series, Breaking Dawn, has to become a motion picture.
Now to be fair, long-running movie stuff site Chud.com is far form the most objective place when it comes to movie news and opinions, but site columnist Devin Faraci wrote an op-ed kind of in favour of Breaking Dawn, that simply has to be read - I haven’t laughed this hard since last week when one of my neighbors slipped on an ice patch and crash-landed on his poodle. Our thoughts go out to Shnookums, by the way.
Says Devin of the story, among other things:
Then comes the most astonishing turn of events in 21st century literature, and possibly in the entire history of awful fiction aimed at tweens: Jacob the werewolf, who has been madly in love with Bella, sees the new baby girl and immediately imprints on her. What this means, in layman’s terms, is that he falls in love with the baby. A werewolf falling in love with a baby. This is why Thomas Edison invented this s**t in the first place. So we could see a werewolf fall in love with a baby.
