Younger generations and folks who weren’t watching American public television in the 70s are in for quite a treat, while others will surely smile at the memory: A singing vampire who sucks the juice out of vegetables instead of necks, and likes to take a bath in caskets (but his shower in a grave!)… Although that’s not even the doozy: it’s the Oscar-winning actor who played him!

Between 1971 and 1977, PBS aired a daily children’s educational program called The Electric Company which was a mix between Saturday Night Live and Sesame Street: it used humorous sketches and recurring characters to help kids with math, verbal skills and whatnots. One of the most popular of these characters was a send-off on Dracula, Blacula and Vincent Price. He was called Vincent, a vampire who likes vegetables (so that kids would too…), was quite the vocalist and always had a tune in him, and was played by… Oh this is just too funny to spoil - watch the video below and enjoy! Hard to believe this show is almost 40 years old!
