The upcoming Bluewater Comics’ “Fame: Robert Pattinson” comic book is yet another item on my list of “Things That Aren’t Really Necessary in Life.” E! reports that this comic book will chronicle our beloved bed-head’s rise from obscurity into handsome, brooding, sparkling vampire character notoriety. Granted, I love R-Pattz with every ounce of my being but I don’t think he’s all that worthy of an actual comic book. Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga has one…what do you people think? Worthy of a comic? I’ve got something to confess: Vampire Diaries Episode 11? I missed it. Despite missing out on last week’s episode, I made the daring move of watching Episode 12, titled, “Unpleasantville,” anyway. Shocked was I to find out that Elena was actually adopted, Stefan had been a stalker of hers prior to their meeting and that there are now more mysterious vampires in the Mystic Falls mix! Unpleasantville couldn’t be a more appropriate title for this episode. Kind of like Elena’s bump-it. More »

Listen up Twilight fans! On March 20, you can watch the Twilight stars play against The New Orleans Saints in a charity baseball game for Haitian earthquake relief efforts. Dr. Cullen himself, Peter Facinelli, will lead a team comprised of Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman. They face off against fullback Kyle Eckel and tailback Lynell Hamilton and other members of the Super Bowl-bound Saints. More »

Recent rumors suggest Avatar’s Sam Worthington will be trading in his blue na’vi body for a pair of fangs in Dracula: Year Zero. Earlier we’d suspected that Brad Pitt would be signing off as Dracula, but with the popularity of Avatar…we’re lead to believe otherwise. More »

Robert Pattinson was recently spotted leaving a London studio to record an appearance for George Clooney’s Hope for Haiti telethon. By the looks of this photo he’s apparently too lazy to shave or preparing for a role about bearded men. Or perhaps he’s taking evasive measures to shed his clean-shaven, handsome Edward Cullen image? Whatever the case may be, it’s really clear that Robert Pattinson and Edward Cullen are not the same people. Not that you needed a reminder or anything. More »

Conan O’Brien’s vampire assistant Cody Devereaux did more than just be an assistant on The Tonight Show. According to MTV.com, Devereaux contributed to a list of the seven best moments on The Tonight Show. Considering the rest of the list which includes The Concussion, “The Solution,” Puppies Dressed a Cats and the Twitter Tracker, Devereaux’s made quite an accomplishment. More »

Vampire Weekend isn’t the only band around that’s got ‘vampire’ in their name. Say hello to Vampires Everywhere!, a band known for their infusion of music genres including screamo, dance, pop, and hardcore — a style of rock they call, “Vampire Rock.” Their debut EP entitled “Lost in the Shadows” will be released on Feb. 9. Sounds like a hardcore (hXc) band with fangs to me! More »

Yet another coven scores a cover with a major fashion magazine! For an upcoming issue of Nylon, expect to see The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Iam Somerhalder in a vogued-out light. Given the edgy styling and brighter colors, this photoshoot makes it easy for any Vampire Diaries fan to feel out of the Mystic Falls element. More »

When it comes to powerful female vampire characters, I feel like they’re the Conan O’Briens of vampire pop culture. While they do exist, it’s rare that we pay a significant amount of attention to these strong female vampires because it seems we’re currently being “glamored” or “dazzled” by the handsome, brooding (and sparkling) vampires that are stealing the show. I serve to remind you all that there are great female vampires that do more than just be sexy and sparkle. One such vampire queen that comes to mind is The Queen of the Damned’s Akasha as played by the late Aaliyah. More »

Even if it’s already been established that Snoop Dogg let’s his children watch HBO’s True Blood, orgy-fests and all, and even if he name dropped True Blood in his hit song, “Gangsta Luv,” Anna Paquin doesn’t think he’ll be making an appearance on the show anytime soon. To which I respond, fo-shizzle my nizzle? No Snoop Dogg in the True Blood-heazy? More »
