Four score and seven years ago (this week), Seth Grahame-Smith released Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a book about — you guessed it, honest Abe as a vampire hunter. In addition to the Civil War, of course. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tim Burton and Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov will be joining forces to bring Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to the big screen. Both are not said to be directing the film, but collaborating alongside Jim Lemley.

Given Burton’s previous work and his nature of being one of the more eccentric Hollywood directors, I’d say vampires are right up his alley. Abraham Lincoln as a vampire hunter on the other hand…should be interesting.

Anyone read this book? Would you watch this movie?

ROFLLMAOWAFFLES, so you mean he was a president as a cover up for his extracurricular activities? Hahaha, actually the time zone of Vampires are right up from the Renaissance-Civil War era. (See VD, a lot of civil war time period)

Good point there! Yes, he was a president to cover up his extracurricular activities, haha.

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
