CW picks up CBS’ old vampire show, Moonlight

Before Twilight, there was Moonlight. Moonlight was a short-lived, one-season long TV show that premiered on CBS in 2007. The series followed private investigator Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin), who was turned into a vampire by his bride Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon) on the couple’s wedding night fifty-five years earlier. In the present day, he struggles with his attraction to a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), his friendship with Josef Kostan (Jason Dohring), and his dealings with other vampires in Los Angeles.

The CW recently announced that it will air reruns of Moonlight on Thursdays this summer starting June 3, following repeats of The Vampire Diaries. Why? I’m thinking it’s because they’re taking advantage of the vampire train still going on strong.
