In addition to Colin Farell joining the cast of the Fright Night remake, Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin’ from Superbad) and David Tennant (Doctor Who).

Mintz-Plasse will play Yelchin’s friend “Evil” Ed Thompson, as portrayed by Stephen Geoffreys in the 1985 original. Evil Ed eventually joins the vampire coven when he feels slighted by his friend.

Tennant will fill the pivotal role of Peter Vincent, played originally by Roddy McDowall as a late-night TV host. However in this remake, the role of Peter Vincent has been changed to a Las Vegas magician whose act is surrounded by horror imagery and claims to be an expert on vampires.

Sadly, a production date has not been released. Stay tuned for more details!

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
