Woman sues Illinois theater after bootleg taping ‘New Moon’

22-year-old Samantha Tumpach, caught filming a part of “Twilight Saga: New Moon” in an Illinois theater, was arrested and accused of attempting to bootleg the movie. After spending two nights in jail, the charges against her were dropped after a month. However, in a recent turn of events, Tumpach is suing the theater for over $50,000 on charges including “malicious prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and defamation.” She claims to have been videotaping her sister’s birthday party and while testing a new camera, took photos and videos at the “New Moon” screening in hopes of capturing “her favorite actor [taking] his shirt off.”

As much as I love Taylor Lautner as well, she really shouldn’t have been filming in movie theater. What were the employees supposed to think?
