At the 2010 Comic Con, the cast of Vampire Diaries dropped several exciting hints regarding the fall premier of Season Two. The first season ended perfectly–enough closure to get most viewers through the summer, but a nudge or two here and there to guarantee they’ll all be back in the fall.
But without further ado, here are four hints that you’ll wish you’ve never read.
1. Katherine and Stefan will meet face to face.
Apparently in the very first episode, “Katherine and Stefan [will] come face to face.” And if that wasn’t enough, it’s been further revealed that “there’s another part of [Katherine's] story we haven’t shown you.” There’s more to this woman than turning two brothers into vampires and unintentionally pitting them against each other because she wanted them both? Well, do enlighten me. (Watch there be a ’sensitive’ side to her as well.)
2. Jeremy will wake up.
Season One ended Jeremy’s story with a cliffhanger that left many people speculating about his future. Will he turn into a vampire or will he die? Well, the crew also clarified that point for us, somewhat: “He’s either going to wake up alive or he’s going to wake up dead. But he is going to wake up.” Well, that’s totally helpful. Now the only questions is, besides the obvious one, how will he wake up?
3. Stefan is a vampire.
Stefan accepts the fact “that he’s a vampire, and that includes drinking blood.” After seeing some strangely humanistic qualities from Damon last episode, are we going to be seeing some Damon-like behavior from Stefan next? Hopefully he won’t be guzzling down Elena’s throat.
4. Werewolves will come.
Obviously every vampire flick in 2010 is not enough without werewolves getting thrown into the mix (by the way, when have they become such a standard pairing?) The Lockwoods are werewolves subplot with Tyler being the case in study will also be more developed the second time around, and I’m looking forward to something (hopefully) not reminiscent of the Twilight series.
I swear to God the entire crew is such a tease. I’m definitely marking down August 13 in my calendar, what about you?
