In a recent interview with MovieLine, Theo Alexander (Talbot) reveals his unconventional method in preparing for a sex scene with Alexander Skarsgard(Eric) in the HBO series, True Blood. While most actors would choose something boring, like rehearsing their lines repeatedly, Alexander introduces a whole new way of prepping.

“I remember that I went back to my trailer and I concentrated. I did some acting exercises. I was playing the archetype of a lover, so I put on a sexy, slow song and almost did like a belly dance.” Mmm, this Greek actor can belly dance to his heart’s content for all I care, as I’m sure True Blood fans will always remember this steamy scene that inevitably resulted in his death.

Although he might have looked au natural on your TV screen, Alexander was nervous about kissing another man. “Many people told me, ‘Oh, just close your eyes and think of him as a woman.’ But no, because that is a totally different energy…I had to open myself to be able to actually be attracted to him, like, really attracted to him,” he says of this particular scene. For someone who had butterflies in his stomach, I thought he pulled it off rather well.

RIP Talbot, you will definitely be missed.

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
