The Vampire of the Day is Syfy’s Being Human, Ian Daniel “Aidan” McCollin. Aidan, played by Sam Witwer, is a 257 year old vampire turned during the American Revolution when he was a soldier.

Aidan, who used to be an unrelenting, merciless killer, is now seen as an anomaly in the vampire community. He has turned away from killing and fresh human blood. He tries to be a “clean” vampire and live off of blood bank bags of blood instead of live blood. Aside from his clean ways, he is also roomies with a werewolf, a fact no vampire smiles upon.
