It’s been reported that the Twilight franchise has done much to boost the local economy in Forks, Washington. Not that we’re surprised, they have been milking Twilight for all it’s worth the last two years with tours. Even despite the fact that hardly any filming took place in Forks. More »

From Flauntme: London-based French cosmetic doctor Daniel Sister has introduced a new and natural anti-aging skin treatment in the UK called The Stimulated Self Serum Skin Therapy [S3 Therapy], also known as the Dracula Therapy. According to Dr. Sister, by injecting your face with a serum of your own blood along with vitamins and amino acids, it stimulates DNA to help hydrate the skin, smooth wrinkles, heal scars, increase radiance, and quicken cellular and visco-elastic regeneration– without the need of harsh lasers, peels and synthetic fillers. Name your baby after a Twilight character? No way, not me. Apparently a lot of Twihards are taking their fandom up to the next level, starting with their children. And maybe pets. According to the Social Security Administration, the name Cullen was the 485th most popular name for boys born in 2009. Cullen also earned the distinction of fastest riser, jumping a remarkable 297 spots from 2008. More »

A larger-than-life rat was discovered recently in a market in China with blood-red vampire fangs. According to this source, the rat was 6 times the normal size and it’s teeth were 2 cm long! It was discovered caught in a fruit basket that it eventually gnawed its way out of. Not that we’re surprised or anything. More »

Who doesn’t love a good motivational image? This Twilight motivational image I came across on Reddit.com has gotten a laugh or two from me. There is truth in saying that Bella has to choose between bestiality and necrophilia. Jacob’s a wolf and technically…Edward is a dead man. Sorry, Twihards. More »

Not that this is a surprise, but the Twilight Saga’s Dr. Carlisle Cullen topped this year’s Forbes Fictional 15 list. Every year, Forbes Magazine compiles a list of the wealthiest, filthy richest…fake characters. Dr. Cullen, the nearly 400-year-old patriarch of the Cullen family is the richest fictional person in the world with a net worth of $34.1 billion. More »

Earlier this year, “vampire” Jonathon Sharkey was sent to jail for threatening to kill a judge then announced that he was running for governor. If that’s not enough crazy, CBS is reporting that he intends on running for president. He has scheduled a Monday press conference in Tampa to announce his plans to file paperwork to run for President of the United States in 2012. He recently switched his party affiliation from Independent to Republican so he can run with the G.O.P. More »

As a full-fledged swan, I was not born into this world with a vampire name. What’s a swan to do? Turn to The Vampire Name Generator of course! While it seems like a waste of e-space, I’ll have you know that according to the site, it’s pretty useful if you need a name for gothic role playing games like White Wolf’s Vampire: The Requiem, and Vampire: The Masquerade, and also the Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG. Sadly, the name I got is slightly underwhelming. More »

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
