Images of The Twilight Saga’s Ashley Greene’s upcoming Interview photoshoot are currently turning heads and making us question if Greene’s Twilight character image is all that necessary. The photoshoot portrays Greene in a darker light that’s completely opposite from her Alice character. Alice in the world of Twilight is typically known for being a perky, sisterly, cheery vampire. In this photoshoot, Ashley looks more vampire as herself in bondage than when she’s Alice Cullen. Did I mention she’s wearing a bondage garb? Check out these sizzling hot pics: More »

As the nation exists in a constant state of health care debate, I’ve realized there’s one thing the writers of HBO’s True Blood may not have taken account of when writing scripts for the show: health care for vampires. The premise of True Blood is that vampires have been outted as members of society. It’s a big belief that members of society deserve certain rights. Hypothetically, if vampires had the right to health care, this could imply major setbacks in the health care debate. In fact, they could screw us over in health care. Here’s how: More »

From Rekuru: It looks like the vampire movie craze has finally infected Japan. Higanjima, the latest film from director Kim Tae Kyun, has Japan, and Hollywood, buzzing with interest.

Based on the best-selling manga by Koji Matsumoto, Kyun brings vampiric monsters to life on a remote island set far out in a dangerous sea. Once teenager Akira hears word of his missing brother being seen on the island he brings a troupe of friends to investigate. The friends, many of whom serve as better fatalities than fighters, are your classic set of personalities from aggressive to bubbly and everything in between. More »

Nothing says fun to me quite like vampires covering this month’s Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Male. The Vampire Diaries’ Paul Wesley and The Twilight Saga’s Kellan Lutz are this issue’s main page eye candy and the 2010 Fun Fearless Male Award winners. Aside from Paul Wesley and Kellan Lutz, True Blood fans have something to rejoice about — Stephen Moyer made the list of fun fearless males award recipients. I’m happy that vampires received awards this year, but at the same time, I’m kind of not satisfied. Fun Fearless Male Awards? Is it so hard to do Fun, Incredibly Sexy Awards? That’s something I’d like to see happen. More »

We have yet another Korean pop (Kpop) boy band that’s decided to adapt a vampire image to sell their music to the Korean pop lovin’ masses. This particular boy band calls themselves U-Kiss, but just one glance at a picture of themselves donning the new image and you’d think they were actually called U-Suck. Like in a vampire way, not in a throw tomatoes at them and call them names way. More »

Given all that’s been recently been discussed during the TCA Press Tour and The Vampire Diaries, I’m starting to believe that the CW was really smart in giving The Vampire Diaries’ fans this long block of time prior to the show’s return on Jan. 21. The CW was only making us wait this long to give us time to build up unsettling emotions of anxiety and to come up with a lot of crazy rumors on the Internet. As crazy as this sounds, this isn’t them being cruel to us — it’s all an effort to get us excited for the show’s return. According to the executive producers of the Vampire Diaries, Elena won’t turn into a vampire anytime soon. More »

Soon, I’m sure my brother’s pet goldfish will be able to have a chance of becoming a cast member of the CW’s The Vampire Diaries. It’s been announced that Melinda Clarke, best known for being TV’s first (fictional) OC mom on The OC, is joining the cast as Kelly, Matt Donovan’s mother. Kelly is — surprise, surprise — a bad mom. Not too far of a stretch from Clarke’s former role as Julie Cooper. More »

Jackson Rathbone, you better watch your back. Especially since all fangs are pointing at you for leaking The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse script directly to the Internet. Sure, this isn’t the first time this has happened. Twilight human Anna Kendrick accidentally tossed her New Moon script into a salon dumpster after getting her hair did last year. I’m thinking she was spared for being human. Jackson, you might not meet the same fate given that you play a vampire by the name of Jasper. The Volturi might be on your case. More »

It seems British GQ has a thing for vampires also. So much so, that I believe it’s clouded their ability to distinguish the best dressed man in all of Britain. As much as my heart palpitates for Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, I can’t say I approve of Rpattz’ wardrobe when unattended by a professional stylist. GQ has recently named Rpattz as the best dressed man of the year, but here’s a list of reasons why I beg to differ. More »

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
