I’ve got something to confess: Vampire Diaries Episode 11? I missed it. Despite missing out on last week’s episode, I made the daring move of watching Episode 12, titled, “Unpleasantville,” anyway. Shocked was I to find out that Elena was actually adopted, Stefan had been a stalker of hers prior to their meeting and that there are now more mysterious vampires in the Mystic Falls mix! Unpleasantville couldn’t be a more appropriate title for this episode. Kind of like Elena’s bump-it. More »

Given all that’s been recently been discussed during the TCA Press Tour and The Vampire Diaries, I’m starting to believe that the CW was really smart in giving The Vampire Diaries’ fans this long block of time prior to the show’s return on Jan. 21. The CW was only making us wait this long to give us time to build up unsettling emotions of anxiety and to come up with a lot of crazy rumors on the Internet. As crazy as this sounds, this isn’t them being cruel to us — it’s all an effort to get us excited for the show’s return. Another week, another new Vampire Diaries cast member. If I were a vampire, I think my favorite show would have to be Showtime’s Dexter. It’s bloody and it’s on at night, simple enough. Since I’m not a vampire, it’s exciting news that James Remar, the actor that plays Dexter’s dad on Dexter, has recently joined The Vampire Diaries cast as Giuseppe Salvatore — Damon and Stefan’s bloodsucking dad.
