Friggin’ Twilight. The Jersey Shore cast appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live for a parody of Twilight and boy was it friggin’ funny. Snooki played the naive Bella, Pauly D as a hairy Jacob, The Situation as Edward (complete with twinkling abs). The best line for me had to do with Edward not smelling like garlic, despite being Italian. More »

What Happened This Week: Turns out those werewolves were actually Bill’s captors working on behalf of the vampire King of Mississippi. Bill ends up an unwilling guest in the King of Mississippi’s home, despite the sparkling blood drinks and fancy blood meals. (Seriously blood gelato?) Over dinner we learn that the King of Mississippi wants to take Queen Sophie’s post in Louisianna. Jessica finally learns something from Pam that Bill never taught her: How to stop feeding from a human. Unfortunately, the corpse she’d been trying to hide or get rid of has gone missing. More »

In watching True Blood’s first episode of season 3, I learned a few important things: 1) I should’ve done my homework in catching up with what had previously happened at the end of season 2 and 2) I have a hard time remembering things that happened almost a year ago on TV. If you’re just like me Wikipedia does a fine job of recapping season 2’s finale. More »

Before Twilight, there was Moonlight. Moonlight was a short-lived, one-season long TV show that premiered on CBS in 2007. The series followed private investigator Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin), who was turned into a vampire by his bride Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon) on the couple’s wedding night fifty-five years earlier. In the present day, he struggles with his attraction to a mortal woman, Beth Turner (Sophia Myles), his friendship with Josef Kostan (Jason Dohring), and his dealings with other vampires in Los Angeles. Seriously HBO, I feel like whoever is in charge of marketing True Blood keeps outdoing themselves with every promo poster and teaser clip. First there was the ‘Not Your Average Cup of Joe’ poster, the VILF poster and now we have a ‘missing persons’ ad on the back of a bottle of True Blood — only it’s for Bill Compton. (Not a person but a vampire, btw.) More »

About SwanDiary

Swan Diary is an online community dedicated to all things vampire within society's current and past culture. Book series, TV shows, movies... you name it. If it sucks, (in a good way), we'll cover it. Swan Diary is an haven for swans -- not the ugly duckling fairytale swan, but swan as a vampire term for, "Human that loves vampires." However, we have no qualms if you happen to be a vampire who loves humans.
